We stood at the exit of the petrol station with thumbs up, and within a few minutes some locals stopped and took us to Salobreña―meep

I have hitched from here towards Granada a few times, sometimes alone and sometimes with a friend. Usually the wait is 10-15 minutes.―mossenmoons

It can be faster to walk back than wait for the bus. But it’s even faster to hitchhike―Breno

At the beginning we tried to hitch hike in the roundabout but it didn´t work. Then we thought of trying in the petrol staion and it was really easy. We easily found a ride to Nerja.―Anthikey

Very bad spot to go towards north. Mostly locals. If you have no luck (like me) try to get to the outskirts like Peligros from here. There is a bigger gas station with more cars going towards Madrid or Jaen―Anonymous

With my girlfriend, we last here more than one hour and nobody stop for us.With sign SEVILLA (or others cities), is too far for the trafic here.
Nobody knows little town arround.
And with sign GRANADA... "we are in Granada. So, why I stop for him/her/them"
We go to other place 3 Km away.
But the place to stop and the visibility are very perfect...

Afternoon in weekday in Februar. With my girlfriend, we wait here only 5 minuts with a sigh MOTRIL. I mark this spot average because of very little and dangerous place to stop but our experience here is good.―Railway

Direction South(Motril). You can hitch direcly on the ramp, although it might be better to hitch next to the patrol station with a sign since people have more space to stop. If you want to go to Málaga DO NOT hitch here, take the highway in direction west.―Anonymous

Gold place for direction Málaga. You have also the possebility to ask people at the petrol station. We've got a lift after 15 -20 min. Good luck :-)―Anonymous
