I waited just before the roundabout but maybe waiting on the traffic light just before it is a better spot for cars to stop. Anyway, a car stop after a very short time and he took me to León. Very good spot also if you are going to Oviedo.―sof808

I waited there for a whole afternoon and couldn’t leave. All the cars seemed to be going to Oviedo. I ended up finding a ride backwards to a petrol station on the highway the next day and I was off in less than 30 minutes.―Grégoire

It's a good place to stay. There are loads of cars passing by and you should have no problem to catch a ride if you want to go to Bilbao o Santander. I was waiting for 20-30min until some guys took me to the next gas station. There I had more luck.―Mochilero

If you want to go to Gijón, that spot is perfect. There is a traffic light a hundred meters in front of the on-ramp. You are allowed to go directly to the on-ramp, but I would recommend you to just wait at the side of the road with a side in your hands. Made the best experience I ever had at this point, however I was just lucky I guess.Si quieres ir a Gijón este punto es perfecto. Esperé ni un minuto ;)

It is good place if you go to Oviedo. Just stay on roundabout or before on Avda. de Portugal and you can be picked up in some minutes. I tried to hitchhike from there to A Coruna too, but with no luck for almost an hour.―Anonymous
