Perfect place to go to Santander or Bilbao. There's enough space for stopping cars and the traffic is very fluid. Between 15 to 60 min.―Anonymous

It's a good place to stay. There are loads of cars passing by and you should have no problem to catch a ride if you want to go to Bilbao o Santander. I was waiting for 20-30min until some guys took me to the next gas station. There I had more luck.―Mochilero

I waited there for a whole afternoon and couldn’t leave. All the cars seemed to be going to Oviedo. I ended up finding a ride backwards to a petrol station on the highway the next day and I was off in less than 30 minutes.―Grégoire

there's a roundabout and a gas station near both the entrance and exit of the A8. i would reccommend standing with a sign at the roundabout, as the station doesn't enjoy much traffic and you will also be visible to cars coming from the town if you choose the roundabout.in general, a good place to go to gijón, might be a little harder to get to avilés, which is where you need to be headed if you plan a longer trip, as the next service station is just before avilés.

asked exactly 4 people for a ride to Bilbao and we got it in like 8 minutes. it's a 24/7 gas station, so if you get stuck here, you have a place to go and eat.―anna
