Got dropped here. Absolutely no traffic when I was there. Waited at the restaurant rather than the petrol station. Had a sign to Zaragoza but got a lift almost to Barcelona. Pretty lucky, wouldn’t recommend.―SaintJ

Theoretically a good spot, theres a wide roadside just before the roundabout so cars are going slow and can easily read your sign and stop for you BUT i personally did not have luck with this because i think because of the full line marking there or maybe the fact that my sign said Valencia and only Smaller Tarragona―Sarker

Fairly good spot as theres a bend just before it(when going south)so people will see you but be prepared to stand in the sun with no shade in which you will still be visible from the road―Sarker

Stayed under the bridge with a "sur" sign and occasionally went to the gas station to ask people, nad no luck with both of them and decide to just signal without the thumb which somewhat worked as i got a ride in 10 minutes bur for ~10km only―Sarker

We stood on a gas station without thumb or sign and some nice catalunyan guy asked us where are we going, we told him we need to get to the countryside so we can sleep and he offered to us that he will took us to his home so we can build up a tent on his garden. We were lucky, it was evening and a weekday, Lots of truck drivers and I think it is not the best spot..―Anonymous

After missing one truck (I slept, she forgot the time and read a book) last evening we decided to hike in the morning. It worked well - lots of truckers begun their journey from 7am. I used few Turkish phrases I know and it worked fine - Mehmet smiled and than took us to La Jonquera.

Stood right at the roundabout in direction of Barcelona. A car stopped amd took me to Gavà station and gave me a train ticket to Barcelona. Lovely people around. Recommended spot―Geci

Seems like hitchiking works really well all along the road from Sitges to Barcelona, at least the one that runs along the sea, I don't know about the autopista further inland. The other day first car that drove past gave us a lift to El Prat.―Anonymous

No luck, we used bus finally. Good traffic, but only Spanish cars. Locals told us people travel here max. to Sitges.―fanky

Took about 30 mins, decent spot for cars to stop - but its Spain so getting a ride isnt the easiest, but it’ll come.―SunnySupertramp
