There is a restaurant and a gas station to ask people or you can just stand on the entrance of the highway. Many people offered me a ride to Portugal, so I guess that's easy. To find a ride in the direction of Madrid took me one hour but then it was a direct one :)There were two cars going to Madrid before but they were already full.

This roundabout is on the main path out of Segovia towards Madrid, traffic is slow-moving and has plenty of space to pull over in the service station. It was well-lit at night, however it will probably be really hot during the day. It is a ~40 minute walk from the main destinations of Segovia. We may have been luckier than normal as the eclipse brought a lot of Madrid residents to Segovia.―Anonymous

Loads of families at this gas station, so not alot cars with room. Alot of foreigners also and people speak quite good english and are mostly friendly. Mostly people are heading to Bilbao or along the north coast but at the end we got a ride to Madrid―Jouskapouska

A small place between parked cars for cars to stop, they slow down just before traffic light. A lot of cars but no one stopped until we got our ride to Burgos, after 1 hour with a sign (2 hitchhikers with a dog and big bags)―Anonymous

On journay from Barcelona this was my transfer station. It seems all cars from Barcelona to Madrid need to go on this way.On gas station is also restaurant.
Exit ramp is great long and cars are slow.

I came to this spot after trying the other gas station on the second highway. Here I got a ride but after 4 hours. I think Tuesdays are weaker days, but who knows. Truck drivers denied me with answe that it's prohibited for them in Spain to take people. In the end old French couple gave me ride to Zaragoza. It's fairly good spot to stand with sign, but no shade.―michalch

I walked from Azuqueca Train station, what was fine. Around 30 min walk.On Tuesday afternoon was the traffic really weak. I was asking people directly but no one wanted give me a ride. After hour cashier from gas station asked me not to talk with clients so at point I left to the another gas station. It was one hour walk. The other spot wasn't necessarily better but gave me ride after 4 hours to Zaragoza.

The gas station is quite busy and almost everyone goes to madrid. You can find toilets, showers (broken atm) and a small shop with chargers. The prices are the usual. There is a small restaurant but not many people come to eat. Most stop for a quick pause as there is a small park nearby. Its as good as it gets for spain, many people are freaked out by hitchhiking but we managed to catch a ride to madrid within 30min.

Most spanish i talked to did not go to Zaragoza. After some time i got a ride with a german women who was going to the french pyrenees. I went with her to Zaragoza to continue to Barcelona. It was around 9 am. I would recommend this spot when going out of Madrid, since other Spots of hitchhiking out of Madrid didn‘t go well. It‘s a gas station + restaurant and there is fairly good traffic.―Pasch

Bad spot eastwards. Too many Ubers here. Eventually youth football coach picked me up to get me away from there. I guess he also did a little detour to bring me to a good gas station to go further towards Zaragosa.―TillWenke
