A guy and a girl without a sign on a Thursday evening. This spot is "play with fire" style : looks dangerous enough for cars to stop and help you, but is not so dangerous as there is an emergency lane for cars to stop. Not ideal in my opinion, but it got us a car to Landskrona.

A guy and a girl without a sign on a Thursday afternoon. You might have to ask at this spot, hitchhiking cars without a sign didn't work for us. We eventually walked to Lund to find a better spot.

A guy and a girl without a sign on a Thursday afternoon. Not a really bad spot, but not really good for cars to stop. A guy eventually took us to Lomma, a bit further North to get us out of here.

A guy and a girl without a sign on a Thursday at noon. Seems to be a very good spot to go to Sweden. We wanted to go to Oslo, but we accepted the first ride that took us East of Malmö. We should have waited a bit longer to go further north though, as there must be a lot of people going everywhere in Sweden that pass through here, and Sweden is hard to hitchhike...

This isn´t the safest spot by any means, but it worked pretty well. There is some place to stop, but not too much. Maybe I was just lucky.

It's a great place to hitchhike. We stood there for maybe 10 minutes and someone stopped and dropped us off at Hörby. This is probably the best place to hitchhike in Lund if you need to go somewhere on the highway. I definitely recommend it.

A lof of traffic, space on a bus stop. I guess Wednesday mornings are not the best here, but our ride took us directly to hitchhiking spot in Malmo heading to Helsiborg.

Got dropped off here. A lot of traffic, but nobody going north toward Helsingborg or Gotenborg. Avoid it if possible in favor of service station a few kms north on E6.

Perfect spot for heading north (Both Göteborg (E6) and Stockholm (E4). Make a sign from McDonald's or Statoil just next to the spot. Only take rides past Helsingborg (Where E4-E6 splits)

im not exactly sure about the location, but somewhere here there is a Mc Donalds and a gas staion where many ppl stop. Try to find a local who can give you a lift there in case you got strandet at Innre Ringen like i did. From the gas station I got a lift to my destination (in the middle of nowhere on the countrysite in sweden) by just asking ppl. Pls only ask ppl at the gas station, otherwise in sweden you dont have much chance for a lift.

The McDonalds/Statoil may be good for asking rides, but waiting in the very large pull-out lane before the entrance with a sign did me no good. All the traffic was speeding by, or the ones who did stop are NOT going to Stockholm. It might be better to go to Lund and start again if your in it for the long-haul. ill try again and post another one.
