Crazy spot, I stood inside the "barrier?" for the safety, those who want to stop will stop, just wait! A nice swedish man picked me up because he did hitchhike when he was young too:)

3 cars stopped in a short time, maybe everybody was heading home after work, a nice swedish man picked me up because he tried to hitchhike when he was young( though failed)..

Take the bus to Eurostop. Best place is to go to the corner at the Max Restaurant with a sign. We got a lift in about 5 minutes to Goteborg. Don't try it at the petrol station, most people there are heading south.

it took me one hour to get northbound. the propblem was that it was raining and i dont think the people were very keen on having some dripping wet person in their car!^^

shit spot, was standing for an hour to get to göteborg, walked a bit further up to the onroad, got a ride within 5 min from a car that was already on the onroad.

Worked well for me, got a ride to Goteborg in some 20 mins. Not much space to pull over, though.

I was here and I don't consider this a great place. As far as I am concerned the cars are not allowed to stop on the ramp before the highway. A lot of cars seem to want to go onto the highway and therefore are speeding up. I stood alongside Laholmsvägen instead and got a ride to Snapparp in 15 minutes.

People can pull over very easily here, best place in Halmstad I would say.

Tried to hitch to Malmö from here (the bus stop is actually a little further down the road than the spot shows on this map). Not very good for hitching to Malmö, since cars driving that way drive in the left lane and will have a hard time pulling over at the bus stop. Walked to the on ramp instead, got a ride in 40 min to Malmö.

I had a hard time finding a good place to hitchhike from Halmstad, even though I checked here before. After asking five or six locals for tips and trying out a few places to stand, I found that the easiest spot was to stand about 20 meters from the traffic light on the crossing of Ryttarevägen and Laholmsvägen. Drivers were able to see the sign, make up their mind, and have a chance to slow down before taking the exit onto the highway. I had a sign that said "Snapparp" and got a ride in 10-15 minutes, just before the sun went down a monday in november.

The spot is getting an average rank because it's not a perfect place for cars to pull over, you can't ask around and have a sign you just have the latter option, you have to have luck to get a ride a long distance. Still find this spot to be decent and got a ride pretty quick to a better place to hitchhike from.

Very good to Malmo etc. A lot of slow cars after the lights.

A fuel station just before the road splits to the north, south, and east. In my experience in Sweden it is very rare to be picked up on the roadside, but if you can be friendly and ask people for a ride then they are quite helpful. This is a great spot.

We were hitchhiking on a bus stop and got a lift in less than 5 minutes to Malmö.
