There's a bus stop here. It's technically a good spot with visibility and a place for people to stop. The best spot to go in that direction really, but we still waited quite some time. We are two women.

Heading South from center over bridge past the roundabout to bus stop. Room for them to stop, all E4 traffic going south goes past here.

Caught a ride over to Norway from here in about 30-40 min. There is space here for cars to pull over safely. I could not find a better place closer to the city to hitch from.

(Winter / Night / Direction E4 South) Very good spot as its right next to the E4 and there are 3 petrol stations one after the other, including some restaurants and special pumps for trucks. You can choose where to ask, it took us about half an hour to get a ride to Sundsvall.

(Winter / Daytime / Direction E4 South) Busy petrol station so you might get rides there, also next to the roundabout there is a bus stop where cars might stop, it took us many hours before someone at the petrol station decided to take us to another spot to keep on looking for a ride.
