I wanted to get on the 86, so from Sundsvall I had a sign for Bergsåker to get here and get the better directed traffic. Worked well, just took a while. From here sign Bispgarden, got a ride all the way.―friki

Sunday morning, solo female, sign for E4/north, on the entrance to the gas station. Not many people stop for gas, but all the cars that go through the road can stop. Got a ride inmediately, Belgian campervan, to Sundsvall.―friki

Friday evening, summer. This spot is recomended on hitchwiki as a good option for rides south. I´d say it a really bad spot. There is a self-service gas station and a restaurant. It is located in direction towards north- no point for driver heading south to stop here. I got there only because my driver had his destination here. So I took a chance. Instead of asking people I thumbed next to the road at a crossroad. Very dangerous spot! Speed limit 80km/h, barely no space to pulling over, difficult for drivers to read your sign. Good visibility at least. However I got a ride in just 5min. Crazy girl took me to Gävle. Never again!―BanautaVanuaLat

Hitched from here in summer 2010, in daylight, it took around 25 min. to get a car quite far north - good place, although not much traffic.―Anonymous

Hitched west to Östersund from here in Oct 2013, asked people at this Shell for 15 mins and then found a ride, but in the meantime was offered a ride to Stockholm! Don't bother with the service stations east of here around Bultgatan, seemed to be only locals.―Anonymous
