(Winter / Daytime / Direction E4 South) Somewhat busy petrol station, also there is a chance to stand somewhere by the road but got a ride to Stockholm before trying that.

E4 Northwards. Seems like it should be a good place (many trucks and steady stream of cars) but for some reason got stuck here for 24 hours. Finally 2 nice biologists heading northwards to inspect their plants gave me a lift!

Bad place to hitchhike, we split up. One person asked all the people at the gas station. the other stood with a sign in front of the driveway to the E4. After 4 hours a car took us at 8 p.m.We would not recommend this place.

For Sweden this is a very good spot. Lots of truck drivers that you can ask directly. They are usually very friendly and I shared coffee with them.
Got a long distance ride almost all the way to Stockholm! Just be patient as there might be times with barely any traffic - have a snack and wait for the trucks

Extremely difficult spot, despite so many cars stopping for gas and food. Had to hitchhike 3x from here and once it was a nice truck driver who finally invited me after standing for 5h, the other times, after 3h+ it wad just someone who drove me to a better spot.

Very chill rest-area. Good if your previous lift stop in sundsvall ans you want to find another lift to go further south. (North could work on the other side).
Few trucs and car. No gasstation. Nice picnic table... Not that many people. I just ask everyone comming by :)

The E4 entry is definitely better, but the police sent me away.

Got a ride from a driver that happened to see my sign ("NORR") from the opposite side. Being between 2 roundabouts he was easily able to turn around.

Not the best place to hitchhike south, most cars drive to North.

Towards south this is abysmal place, you can seriously get stuck here, for north it may be fine as a lot of lorries staying overnight here were headed there but noone going south uses it, asking around the other cars seemed to not work also, on E4 there isn't a good spot, didnt work by asking or with sign, ended up walking myself to a better location after 140 or so minutes, try to avoid this at all costs, the reviews say it all

Seems uncomfy for drivers but got a ride towards south within 20 minutes, got some good reactions from drivers as well, seems like the only right spot if headed south from Hudiksvall

Tried this spot as an alternative to get south towards E4, a lot of people do go towards Iggesund, but no luck here either, and after 40 or so minutes went to another spot, the road itself is very wide here, it's the old highway, speeds are slow but didn't work out
