I agree on this spot. Its called "Örs Lantcafé", take a bus from central Växjö. Its really, really difficult to hitch out north from Växjö because the motorway goes right through, and people are unwilling to pick up people.

Hopefully you will catch a car to get you to Lammhult, next on this map, and there are many trucks that will pick you.

There's an emergency lane just behind the exit. Quite short and cars are at 100km/h.

Already on the highway, not too comfortable for drivers to stop. Two lanes and half one beside

Somehow this route worked for me already like 3 times towards Jönköping and 5 times to Växjö. All the time quite smooth considering it's Sweden (5-30min waiting). And actually I stood not here, but a bit south (500m, close to where the police radar camera is.), there there was a nice place to stop also. I used the JKPG sign to go north.

Welcome to Sweden. Hundreds of cars passing by without even blinking at you. At the highway there was an accident and a big traffic jam. Many people were therefore navigated to exit the highway through this gas station. I was standing at the exit to the regional road with a Ljungby sign. It was basically the whole highway passing me but with no interest. After an hour (probably like 200 cars) a guy from Kosovo took me to my destination Växjö. <3

Good spot for Halmstad/Växjö, space to stop and good visibility. You're super close to the gas station so can see cars stopping, I was offered a ride by someone who stopped for gas and saw me standing by the roundabout.
