I had a sign saying "Basel". I wanted to go to the Pratteln service station to stay on the swiss A2 highway. Got picked up by a guy driving to Brugg. He said he was going through Basel, so I took the ride, but actually he went through Lörach. Be aware that there are two entries into Switzerland! Police dropped me here -- I should have asked them to drop me at the petrol stop a few km behind because this took too long to land a ride. That's what I get for not researching before I hitch! The spot was fine, but it's mostly local traffic going to and from work. it took me about 3 hours to land a ride, taking me to Lausanne.
