Bad spot.
Theoretically I should work because there is a gas station with space to park right next to it.
We asked around when people stopped for a refill and also show our sign.
However, it was hard to find a ride.
We got a ride for about 10 min. up to the highway from where we found another ride after 15 minutes. I recommend going for that if possible.

Good spot but difficult for cars to stop - saturday afternoon however wasnt too busy - 1 car every 25 seconds roughly so it meant that they had time to stop without causing traffic

I was walking up and hitching a ride with an A3 highway sign and a man stopped, took me to the nearest service station on the highway but before that he fed me a big ass Swiss meal. 🥰

Right outside the Cop shop! Direction: Luzern. With a sign, this is a great place to stand and has a nice bay for cars to pull into.

A big petrol station. You should stand here with sign. Easy to catch car to Germany. Waiting just 15 min.

Perfect for going to Germany. Going south should also work because it's one Rest Stop for both directions!

Take S-Bahn S7 to Kemptthal (~25mins from main station) and walk another 3mins up the road.
Where the road forks, go right.
300m further a small road leads uphill just to the gas station.

Once there, ask the people if they can take you! Like that you have the best chances and don't have to mess with a sign!

If going south, past ZÃ¼rich and out the other side, be careful - this is the last petrol station on this motorway before ZÃ¼rich! It is very difficult to get a ride further south, and ZÃ¼rich itself can be difficult to hitch from. I got a ride towards Bern after 1 hour.

Tried asking people a lot. It didnt work for 2 hours. Then used a sign at the entrance to the high way. Got a lift within 10 minutes.
