Don't get fooled by Google Maps ! This is not the road people to go to Darband. I doubt you can successfully reach it here as there is no traffic. Instead go to the location I appointed as the lift destination on the other side of Obi Garm. There is a brand new asphalt road with plenty traffic to Darband.―paulMM

Here's the start of the northern route towards Khorog/Pamir. Quite tricky with a long montaneous track part with low traffic. Probably more adventurous than the southern route but doable if you have the time and you feel like it. Check the following spots for more precise info :)―paulMM
