Pretty good spot, hid in the shade of a signpost. Lots of space for cars to stop. Trucks too. Had 6 people stop, ask if I was ok, and offer to take me to the bus station. Difference between Thailand and Cambodia was very obvious.―Kjmurray1230

Getting out of Bangkok is something of a nightmare, but if you can get anywhere along this road, you're in for a treat. Super fast pick-ups from lovely people.―Anonymous

PTT gas station - This is one of the best spot in Bangkok to hitchhike south. I was going south, then I wrote a sign to Samut Songkhram (สมุทรสงคราม) first, but the car only took me to Samut Sakhon (สมุทรสาคร), 10 km away.You can get a cardboard from automobile shop at the end of gas station
** PTT station is the best gas station to hitch a ride in Thailand.
