Stood here for 30 min until I was picked up by a non-english-speaking driver who was nice but asked me for sex. I said yok and he drove me to Milas. Didn't try any other place, but seems to be the best highway to get out of Söke.―Anonymous

We reach this place after a long hiking trip. We chosed keep walking instead of going back. I think we were pretty lucky to find a car from here. We took a ride to Söke. There was only one small village behind us. Head man of the village took us. If you really stuck, there is a small museum close to that area. The guy in there may help you...―Anonymous

We took the ferry from Istanbul (Yenikapi) to Yalova to HH our way south. There is a big bus stop at this spot, so perfect for cars to pull over. Lots of traffic, but we (couple, late 20s) still had to wait an hour for the first car to stop. They took us all the way to Kusadasi, which is even further than we planned for the day (originally we planned to get to Izmir). PS: We used a sign saying Bursa/Izmir and we can't really tell whether it's better to have one or not―TravelLightAndHike

There is a shoulder where cats can pull over. At first we (couple, late 20s) waited about 100m before that spot (in front of the A101 supermarket), but the cars go really fast, so they didn't have enough time to turn into the parking of the supermarket. A car finally stopped at the shoulder and we realised that (a) they stopped for us and (b) that the shoulder/bus stop would have been a much better place to HH from the very beginning. The two young guys took us almost until the Bafa Gölü lake, then tried to ask for a "road fee" with google translate but didn't persist when we said no. PS: we tried to do to Bodrum―TravelLightAndHike
