Bad spot. Very few cars which go to gas station, most of them are not friendly tbh. Quite all of the cars are full with people or with their stuff. Right after gas station sometimes there chill border police, we got lucky to be with them the whole day. They tell not to go to the exit of gas station because it’s dangerous. Fortunately after around 5-6 hours of waiting time at around 10 pm we got a lift to Sofia.

Two Persons, got many offers in the direction of Istanbul but we declined and waited for our old direct ride (truck driver)
Don’t use a sign or be to obvious otherwise you will get send behind the last gate (not that bad really if that happens)

I tried hitchiking yesterday in other recommended spots but no chance.
I just walked here 6 am and no one care about me. I mean Police don't care that you are going there.

I found a car to Istambul in 2 minutes. [easy to catch much further because my driver went to Adana].

The trucks drive 5km/h here.

Easy. 5 minutes but be aware of dogs. The owner of gas stadion had 4 big agressive dogs.

Did take 10min for a Truck Driver to pick me up. Medium traffic on a sunday, I tried a few other spots for hours but this seems to be the best. Truck have a toll station so they go slow. He organised another truck via CB-Radio (see next stop). Just head hear immediately if you‘re in the area. One more local men was waiting, so it seems to be a common spot.

There is a gas station and a toilet. I got picked up pretty quickly but only driven a few km. The whole area seems mid idk

The border is shit. Long waiting (but walkable, waiting trucks will offer food and coffee which is nice). Nobody stopped for me, Truck driver are annoyed by the 12h waiting time barely any cars (saturday evening). Police harassed me and demanded the passport ‚fast fast‘. In my option are really bad border to cross but maybe I was unlucky.

Not the busiest service station. The one's closer to Istanbul are probably way busier. It had maybe 10 cars and 4 trucks on a tuesday afternoon. But it still works.

Had to wait a long time on the on ramp until someone stopped, but then got a ride all the way to Istanbul as well as an invitation into a restaurant.

I first waited before the petrol station, but when I switched to the exit of the petrol station I quickly got a ride to Edirne. He invited me for some food and helped me.

Got dropped of at the split of the highway and then walked onto the highway towards Edirne. First a local woman stopped, but she'd only go into the next town and not long after a Turkish truck driver took me to a truck park close to the border.

Not such a good spot anymore due to the economical crisis, most cars take the other road you don't need to pay for.
All the trucks have to stop to wheight their load, many made signs they were going out before Istanbul. Any stopped despite their traffic is almost continuous.
Got a car ride to Istanbul after an hour.
