Quite easy to catch rides on both side of the border. Just avoid the taxis - on the Iraq-Kurdistan side you might have to make it clear before you enter a car.―Anonymous

Lots of trucks going long distances after border crossing. Many locals also hitchhiking under bridge and also on road towards Mardin. Better under the bridge so you get picked up first.Got picked up by a truck with another dude too.

The SDF are your friends in Rojava. They will help you stop a car.―Anonymous

Let me cross on foot Kurdistan to Turkey. Iraqi/Kurdistan officers stopped a random car for me to get in to go over bridge (walking forbidden), told them taxi is too expensive.―mjexplorer
