Stood there on Saturday afternoon in April 2014 for 1h12min. Not too many cars, I guess there are many who can't afford the highway (3000Ft for 10 days) so they take the country road. About half the cars are full with people or stuff. Another big group are rich or old people who are less likely to take you. If you do get a ride it's probably very quick to get to BP. For quite a while there are no gas stations, so if they don't go all the way, make sure you'll know if they can drop you at a gas station or you'll stand on a ramp again :)

Get the bus from Pecs main station to "Remenypuszta". Than walk (or hitchike) to south about 1 km. Here it is, the highway ramp where you can easily get a ride to Budapest.

Wonderful place to Croatia or Kaposvár / Lake Balaton. The exit of the roundabout, and there is a bus stop so you have all of the possibilities to get a lift. I needed only 10 sec to get a lift by a truck :)
