Take a bus number 2, and you find a petrol station or you can hitchhike on the road too. Good if going towards Kaposvár.―Anonymous

Take the bus 2 until "Budai vám"! There is a big tesco, you cant miss it. You have to walk towards about 500 meters, and there will be a bus stop, where you can hichhike, also you can go another 200 meters, completely out of the town, where - as i know - the local students usually hichhiking.I was hiching at the bus station, its at the bottom of a slight slope, so drivers are seeing you quite far from the bus stop. Maybe it is better, they have enough time to decide :).

Stood there on Saturday afternoon in April 2014 for 1h12min. Not too many cars, I guess there are many who can't afford the highway (3000Ft for 10 days) so they take the country road. About half the cars are full with people or stuff. Another big group are rich or old people who are less likely to take you. If you do get a ride it's probably very quick to get to BP. For quite a while there are no gas stations, so if they don't go all the way, make sure you'll know if they can drop you at a gas station or you'll stand on a ramp again :)―Marcus De
