Bus 13 and 16 from city centre. Burger King is a good indicator where to get off the bus―Anonymous

There is a busstop just after the street turned into a "highway". First there´s a parking spot and right after that the busstop. Easy to thumb a ride towards Inverness and generally north of Scotland!Take bus 27 to get there. 17 and 21 get you close to it!―Anonymous

Exellent for Inverness and north. Most of the local trafic to airport and Dyce industrial area has turned. A sign is helpfull as well. Stagecoach buses will take here for £1.70 bit pricy but worth it―Anonymous

I spent 2 hours in rain until I got a ride. But still, I think it's the most reasonable place to hitchhike if you're heading south.―Urbanekto

Good spot as it's very close to the First Aberdeen bus station (you can use your Aberdeen City bus ticket) and cars have plenty of space to stop.Excellent for going to the west. I got a ride to Banchory, but cars go also much further (Braemar).

I waited here at this gas station for about 5 minutes until someone stopped to pick me up. They had to pull over in the "no entry" gap of the gas station because by the time he noticed me there was nowhere else to stop. Luckily, there were no vehicles exiting the gas station at that time so there was space for him to stop there briefly. I would recommend standing further down the road from the gas station to hitchhike so that drivers have the time to see you and then make a decision to stop for you before they reach the point of no return! Cars are going by quite fast on this road so they have little time to make quit stopping decisions.―Anonymous

Hitchiked many times from here to go south. There is a small layby in which a car can stop. Useful for avoiding a long walk out of town. I have usually always managed to get away from here in fair time―Pezzer
