Big wide bus stop right in front of hospital, great for cars to pull over. Two cars stopped in the first 10 minutes, but were only going a few hundred meters, so may be a good place to get out of the city at least. A few cars slowed down to stare at us, then sped back up again. After almost an hour someone took us to our destination 20 min down the road.Apparently Ballymena has a bad reputation and people dont like people from there, so do your best to look as foreign and exotic as possible.

Quite a few people at the petrol station midday. Managed to catch a lift quick with a bloke on his way to Ballymena―Breno

Really good spot to go on the M2. There´s a small car park where cars can pull over and lots of cars are going on the M2. If people dont leave at the first opportunity they can drop you at the applegreen service station (where I found a ride to Derry)―Juergen

At midday the footpath here can be used as parking. My previous lift’s meeting was cancelled. He very kindly gave me another lift and took me to the Giant’s Causeway via the scenic route on his way home―Breno

The lights here change to red quickly. Cars will be stopped for long enough to see you and hopefully give you a lift―Breno
