You should really be able to find a lift on your ferry, but even if you fail, this spot is perfectly suitable for getting out of the Larne harbour.―Anonymous

Midleclass spot for getting a ride, eventually you'll end up on M1 for sure. For Dublin make sure to get dropped off at junction with A1!!!―Jeensg

This spot is much safer than at Yorkgate. However you need a sign. The road splits for the M2/M5 so let people know which way you want to take.―Anonymous

It’s a good one, but narrow place near the road―leventehegedus

There’s no good stopping spots for cars on the busier roads here onto the M2 so this spot had to do. Exceptionally low traffic even for a Tuesday. Only one offer but not my direction. Gave up and found another entry to the M2―Breno

Really good spot to go on the M2. There´s a small car park where cars can pull over and lots of cars are going on the M2. If people dont leave at the first opportunity they can drop you at the applegreen service station (where I found a ride to Derry)―Juergen

2mins on a Sunday. The roundabout to the north would be even better but had my sign out just for luck and got picked up in no time. There’s a big shopping mall in Bangor so many cars going that way.―nuxiygnaw

The lights here change to red quickly. Cars will be stopped for long enough to see you and hopefully give you a lift―Breno
