A good place to hitch out of Bournemouth towards the north-east/east. You can get there by bus (don't know which one, though), and cars are going past quite slowly as they are just coming out of the roundabout. They are just about to enter a dual carriageway, though. Use a sign!―Anonymous

This is a terrible place to hitch from. Fast cars and no place to stop.I had to walk to upton cross to get a lift and still took a while due to the quiet road.

Awkward spot. There's a well placed layby, but the traffic is coming very fast down the hill heading west and the layby is bumpy as hell. Probably have to be patient when the roads are busy.―Anonymous
