A lot of people will be headed towards Letterkenny from here. Ample hard shoulder.―Anonymous

There's a little lay-by just beyond the bridge, but people don't seem to feel very confortable about stopping there for you.―Anonymous

Easy spot to get to Buncrana, although all the people turning towards Moville are a tad annoying. O yes, you could get to Moville just as easily.―Anonymous

There's a petrol station along the Strand Road where a lot of friendly people are going to a lot of different places - at least to the roundabout where all the roads split up.―Anonymous

Walk along Dungiven Road and there'll be enough space for cars to pull in. Good for rides towards Belfast.―Anonymous

There’s a set of light here cars may have to stop at. There’s also roadside parking right here so a car can pull in. Perfect road to get to Derry. My lift was such a lovely bloke, made me very happy to be hitchhiking in Ireland―Breno

Not the best place in terms of having space for cars to stop, but the kind Irish people never disappoint. For direction A5 (Strabane, Omagh, Dublin)―nuxiygnaw

There’s a car park right here, but my lift didn’t see it. They spun around the roundabout and pulled in on the road in front of me. A good spot regardless. I even got a quick Gaelic lesson “dia duit!”―Breno

If possible AVOID being dropped off at this spot. No place for cars to stop. Got a ride only because of luck.―nuxiygnaw

Cars may have to make a last minute decision to turn into the petrol station. But the lights ahead can help slow them down. My lift thought I seemed clueless cause my sign said ‘west’, but I was trying to go north. So I suppose it still helped get a lift. We stopped for lunch together before I moved on towards Errigal―Breno
