There's a hidden lay-by somewhere around here; people will happily oblige :-)―Anonymous

This should be a decent spot - along the main road that's leaving Coleraine towards Derry, a hard shoulder, enough traffic but not too much - still I had to wait more than an hour, which is toally exceptional for Northern Ireland. You'd probably be better off following the road a bit further down until you're really out of town (although cars will be faster there).―Anonymous

There’s a set of light here cars may have to stop at. There’s also roadside parking right here so a car can pull in. Perfect road to get to Derry. My lift was such a lovely bloke, made me very happy to be hitchhiking in Ireland―Breno

A slow traffic morning. Got a lift from the local minister to just a couple towns over―Breno

Just walk a little further to here and you get a very large bus lay-by!―nuxiygnaw

First lift I stuck my thumb out for. My lift got me to Coleraine but insisted I be left at the station instead of a better hitching spot. It’s not too far a walk out of town though―Breno
