Spot leaving the city, but nobody was stopping. (I wanted to go east) At the end I walked to the train station and took the train. There was a nice spot directly after the roundabout for people to pull over, no idea why no one did.

A great place, cars can see you clearly and they can pull over to the bus stop.―Anonymous

Not a special place, but cars slow down here on their way to the centre.―Anonymous

Trying to get to Dover. Petrol service area with diners and McDonalds. Not a lot of traffic here, and most seemed local. Although the spot is easliy visible by people coming in for petrol so they have time to decide if they wanna pick you up.Still got lucky though. Couple of polish guys were rushing to go to Dover from Eastbourne and had stopped to get fuel.

Ferry to Dieppe. Should be possible to hitchhike with lorries (a driver offered a ride to Barcelona). By car it's not possible.―Anonymous

Didn't get a ride with a sign stating 'Towards Dover' after waiting 30 mins. There's two small roads on the left side where cars might be able to pull over. Cars going quite fast and might go into several directions after the spot, which possibly makes this a tricky place to hitchhike.―Laspe
