A lot of traffic, most cars driving north from Stirling will use this road. The cars are driving slowly because they are exiting the roundabout and there is a lot of space to pull over.

Lot of people going in Edinburgh's direction, plus you have a service station nearby.

Not sure is a very good point, but I was dropped off there and I got a lift to Glasgow in 5 minutes... maybe I was just lucky, as it doesn't look very easy for people to stop (unless you ask at the traffic light)

Big services, car park - posibilty to ask drivers or you can hitch with a sign on big busy roundabout nearby. There is enough place. Got a lift to East Kilbride in 25 minutes, to Callender in 10 minutes. But most of them drive to Glasgow.

The only services where I have ever had problem with the staff. They had a problem with me walking where cars could pass (although every driver who comes to pay does the same). After some negotiation we agreed I could ask drivers, as long as I stayed on the pedestrian lane in front of the shop. This can depend on what staff member is working at the time of course. It is the only services between Edinburgh and Glasgow, but within 20 minutes after being dropped off, I got a ride to a services close to Prestwick.

hitched here as a pair of guys twice, heading to edinburgh both times - waited 20 mins in the day, more linke 45-50 in the dark (6-7pm) but you catch all the traffic out of stirling as well as the service station.

Heading to Glasgow, it's little bit dangerous getting there from the services but if you get there, there is a perfect spot where the car can stop.

Not the best spot. Cars going fast. But the gas station seemed to have a lot of traffic as the road so you can always ask there.

Held a sign with STIRLING on it for a couple hours in rush hour, not many people willing to stop

The first car picked me up so lucky ig? But from I saw there was almost no traffic there. Was very dead. But thats the only service station between the big scotland cities.
