(on the Dover -> Calais ferry) we paid £30 and joined the ferry as foot passengers. there were lots of people driving off the ferry. we were 3 people and did not find a lift for all of us, but split into 2 and 1, and both groups found lifts to London. we asked almost everyone on the ferry and found 2-3 offers.―Alifeee

we were heading to Dover. it took a while to get a lift, but we were 3 people. our friends arrived to hitch after us and took a lift before us (cheeky). eventually found a lift to Maidstone after trying several spots (food court, fuel station, roundabout).
