So many cars and none stopped, this spot is so bad. Must have been 3000+ cars easily.

Good spot. Plenty of space to pull into the dead end road behind you. Not much traffic despite it being the main road. Lovely lady named Ann who lives nearby saw us and chatted, then offered us Tea! We kept hitching and a ride all the way to Cardiff and the Tea and biscuits came at the same time!! What luck!! One guy and Femme wheelchair user. Driver's dad hitchikies loads to get back from paraglides, that's why they picked us up!

Great spot! [The other spot on another road is actually supposed to be this one... mistakenly marked, I imagine].
The spot is this: a parking just before the roundabout, indeed with shade from a tree. Essentially here you get all the traffic from W. Wales and you should at least get a ride to Bristol (though that last petrol station before Bristol is always a bit hit and miss for me...but what can you do?).
Eventually settled on a ride to Bristol as it was hot, but had a sign for Devon and imagine a bit more patience would have got me that ride too.

Was headed west to Pembrokeshire , stood by the entrance to the patrol station and got picked up quickly by someone coming out the petrol station who was going camping in the breacon beacons . A really great spot, thanks hitchmap!

Hitched here begin of April 2017 at 1pm with sign saying "M6 North"
Got a lift within 20 min.
