After you exit the Stena terminal, head straight to here. Somebody will probably take you to Stranraer soon enough. Never waited more than 15 minutes here―Anonymous

Most cars going North are heading for the ferry. Try and get to the ferry ports and hitch from there when a ferry comes in.―Anonymous

Wait for a ferry to come in and you should have no problem hitching North from here. Best to have a sign saying you're heading North though.―Anonymous

There’s a car park here you can wait at or stand on the pathway and thumb traffic. Scots love to stop right in the centre of the road to pick you up, so make sure you’re ready to chuck your bags in the car quickly―Breno
