Decently busy road. Cars can pull into the entrance into the inn. You could also get cars coming out of the carpark. Got us right into city centre―Freddie35

Not the best spot but there is a place to stop and if you are really struglling its a bus stop (there is no signs but it is) so you can catch a bus. Carw going pretty fast and a bit uphill so probably not the most keen to catch. I was during ofseason so not that much traffic but eventually somebody should stop but this is not that rural road that everyone would pick you up―kiausiniuvagis

Many people offered a ride south, but no one was going north. Eventually I got a pity-ride.―mossenmoons

Somewhere her is supposed to be a Garage. Got from here a lift to Manchester in 45 minutes of waiting. A sign is useful.―Anonymous

Going north over the Forth Road bridgenot the nicest spot to wait, but decent traffic and enough space for people to stop.
Going to Edinburgh - walk up the road and get the local bus for £1.80 - need exact change

Yep, the garage is the last decent spot for miles. I found out the hard way and walked about 4 miles down the narrow road before finding another wide bit where someone could pick me up. There's a city bus that stops here, so it's not hard to get to from Edinburgh.―Anonymous

At the petrol station: got a lift to Newcastle in half an hour. Lots of people going just locally, but being patient you can probably get a lift south.―Anonymous
