[M1 SOUTHBOUND]Having surveyed the area I decided that the best place to hitch from was outside the main services building itself.
Being relatively close to London you may be able to choose which part of London/direction along the M25 you wish to get to.
It took about 35 minutes before I was offered a hitch to Brent Cross, a very useful strategic location at the interchange of the M1/A406 North Circular Road.

Hitched north onto the M1 twice from this spot, never had to wait more than 20 minutes. Plenty of room to pull in at the bus stop and ample time for vehicles to see you as they round the corner.―Anonymous
