A first car stopped and someone offered me $100 to go buy a phone for his girl. Seemed fishy and kindly rejected the offer.A lady ends up stopping, after she passed me first on the highway.
I was initially planning to reach Angelina State Park to spend the night, but she couldn't drive me that far, so she offered me instead to spend the night at her place and to drove me the day after to Lufkin.
It ends up being a ride all the way to Alto with a stop, at the Sam Rayburn Dam to show me the area.
She also stopped at the bank to withdraw money to support me in my trip and offered me my first cinnabon.

Empty place. Got lucky on that one to have such a short wait.A retired man going home. He used to pick up hitchhikers to sermon them.
He was amazed by my trip stories and keep telling me it will blow her wife's mind when he will tell her about it.
Nice guy. And nice mustache.

VERY BAD, ppl here are afrait of hithickers (and we were pretty clean cutted), we had more ppl giving us money than rides, and even more middle fingers.Tried on the ramp when it was getting dark, no success, at the gas station up north, no success, tried in the morning at both spots at the same time (we were two) and finally got picked up at the gas station, guy was nice, but it was really a pitty ride. Used thumb or sign, depends

Not a good place to stop, I got lucky with a ride but there's little to no traffic and almost no room to stop―Sargentnickptsd

Asked around and got a ride fairly quick, be cautious that a lot of people in Texas carry guns though―Sargentnickptsd
