I rated it as good because there is space for a car to pull in and the police stopped to talk to me but said they had no problem at all with me hitchhiking there at the on ramp. This is a bold spot to hitch out of town, but it worked for me. Acceptable shoulder for drivers, low speed, steady traffic. Maybe better options elsewhere―Alabama
