Gas station with a big parking lot. Not many cars stopping there, but lots of traffic driving between Black Hawk & the Interstate, both ways.Straight line who allows visibility, however cars driving fast, less encline to stop.
Got a ride from a retired man from Minnesota, who is now a poker dealer. On his way back home after working for a tournament in BH, he wasn't in a hurry and drop me where he thought would be the more convenient to keep heading West.

Middle of nowhere. I started walking South towards Rollinsville and rising thumb&sign each time a car would pass me by (not a lot).A couple who passed me going the other way came back to pick me up.
They keep driving further towards I-70. They actually were the folk/Rock-Americana band Strangebyrds. We talked about US politics, travels, art, etc.
A very nice ride indeed !

Great place with enough traffic and good shoulder, but only had smiles and hand gestures from driver.First 30 minutes thumb only, then drew a sign saying 'Denver'.
End up calling a cab, & a car finally pulled over when it arrived...

Good spot but bushes might make it harder. But otherwise people see you for about 20-30 seconds because of speed limit and ramp. And there is a nose spot to cars to stop there also.―Luthero

Just was sitting outside and read a book. And I have a sign on my backpack, so everyone can see where I'm going. So I think I was looks polite and that's why someone gave me a ride to Georgetown!―Luthero
