Asked for rides at the Shell Station.
Talked to very nice people in majority, who gave me prayers, warm clothes, food, drinks & cash.
The gas station employee even brought me hot food at some point.
One of them even offer to host me in his AirBNB if I couldn't find a ride.

Avoid the BP next to it, I got kicked out very fast by the manager.

My rider first gave me $20 before getting me a ride all the way to Chattanooga, TN.
During the ride, he paid for my hotel room so I could keep going with him in the morning, got me fountain drinks and lunch.
Also got me in touch with froiends of his for later on the trip.
Great guy!

Plenty of room to stop.

My driver came back and picked me up, because Jesus told her to do so. And because I could only be nice as I was dancing.

Gave me a bag of dates and a few singles.

Dropped here by a local CS.
He told me all his previous hitchhikers got a ride from there on I81.
Great location, but no one stopped, except a policeman.
He told me I wasn't allowed to hitchhike here, but when I said I checked the law and I was fine, he ended up acknowledging his mistake and let me keep going, only asking me to be cautious.

Tried the Shell gas station too, but almost no traffic and clerks not nice.

Got a ride from a local, thanks to a "fun" sign

Ride from a guy in a pickup truck with a dog named Jolene. Brought us out past Harrisonburg then turned around.

Not long on the freeway in WV. Got a ride back to I-81. They were going all the way to Virginia Beach but we were headed farther north.
