Nothing worked. We were 2ppl, tried one of us asking at the Buc-ee's, without success. People were not very friendly. And my friend was sticking his thumb out at the freeway entrance without success either. We ended up taking a bus to San Antonio and hoping freight to go further west (Tucson)―Blaireau

Very bad, there is room to stop but people are coming a bit fast, and more than that: NOBODY CARES. 2ppl here, waited for more than 2h with very good traffic, and nobody was picking us up.We tried a bit with our "Austin" sign but it didn't help.

Get out of Houston with bus 222, walk about two miles to this spot and wait on the side of the highway. Good church nearby to camp as well―Sargentnickptsd
