Lots of cars are particular times of the day .... most seems like local traffic. Not much space to stop, but there is a stoplight that might be able to help if you wanted to ask the drivers directly. I wouldn't recommend this spot, but I wouldn't say it's senseless.―Anonymous

Going to Vegas.Spot is honestly pretty bad.
People go fast, it's hard to stop anywhere and there's too much distraction for people to really pay attention.
I got extremely very lucky.

I've hitched from around here, just continuously walking until I get a ride, many times, maybe a dozen heading to Vegas. It's hit or miss. The worst was once when a state trooper stopped to check my ID and tell me I could walk, but if they drove by or someone called in saying I had my thumb out again they'd have to write me a ticket, and if they were to catch me again after that they'd have to take me in. There were a lot of different style cop cars after that (cruisers, pickup trucks, SUVs, etc) which made it difficult to tell from a distance which vehicles were cop cars, so on that particular day I walked for hours, still thumbing when I was confident it wasn't a cop, and finally getting a truck ride all the way to Vegas. That experience aside, usually get a ride in 30 minutes or less.―Kenny Flannery
