Lots of cars are particular times of the day .... most seems like local traffic. Not much space to stop, but there is a stoplight that might be able to help if you wanted to ask the drivers directly. I wouldn't recommend this spot, but I wouldn't say it's senseless.

albeit I waited for over and hour, I got a ride into Utah. I had a "Utah" sign.

Trusty spot for those northbound, last chance in town so you get all the traffic, rides range from Saint George to Salt Lake City many times.

Don't get dropped off in Mesquite, locals don't pick up, although you might get lucky with someone who's passing through. Was srtuck here for a day.

Going to Vegas.
Spot is honestly pretty bad.
People go fast, it's hard to stop anywhere and there's too much distraction for people to really pay attention.
I got extremely very lucky.
Best strategy is I think to got talk to truckers at the stations
