At the train station, I asked bluntly to the train clerk if he would let me hitchhike the local train. He was very nice and accepted right away, although he wasn't totally allowed to do it.Always worth to ask !

Gave up after two hours waiting there, as sun sets. Trying to head West towards Harrisburg.Has a large shoulder and good traffic, but the spot is a bit downhill from the last traffic lights and drivers can't see you before last second

The spot is pretty good. Slower traffic and good pullout. The cops stopped just after the driver did, second time this happened to us in NJ. They let us all go and told us not to walk on the freeway.―Mossythemuse
