Tons of cars entering the highway here, though most are commuters. You can definitely land a ride to Sacramento if you have a sign, but further than that might be a stretch from this location.―Anonymous

I wouldn't suggest trying to hitch North/East on I-80 after noon. Many many commuters, tons of people laugh at you, thinking you're destitute or joking, I don't know. It was a terrible feeling so much that I decided to quit thumbing after a couple hours and walk to another spot.―Anonymous

Many people are driving locally, but still accept their rides, even if they're going 4 miles. Once you get farther from the Bay Area, you'll get longer rides.―Anonymous
