Had a sign for Zagreb and got a ride pretty easily considering most of the traffic was probably commuters.

Planned was to go to Novo Mesto. A lot of local you live in between. 2 cars stopped before but only went to a small city 15 km away from Novo Mesto. I took the second chance and decided to take a bus for 3€ from Trebnje then.

not the best spot, but worked getting to ljubljana. There is big motorway nearby but couldn't find any better spots. Lot's of local/non-ljubljana-bound traffic here I think. Would recommend a sign

Slovenia is a great country to hitchhike! Just after the traffic light were the cars not moving too fast, and there was plenty of space to stop at the bus stop. Got a ride straight to Bled after 10 minutes with two slovenians. It was really nice!

Took way longer to find a ride than expected. Lots of cars, but most of them full. Managed to get a ride to a better spot near the Austrian border

Excellent spot for starting your journey north. Got a ride in about 10 minutes to the petrol station on the highway.

Good spot! Its at the entry of the highway, but there is enough space to stop. Got a ride after 35 minutes with a man who works in Zagreb but lives in Slovenia. He took me straight to Ljubljana :)

Bad spot! Nearly all the cars are croatian and from Zagreb. One car stopped, but they went to maribor and not ljubljana. I changed location after three hours, and got a ride in 40 minutes there.

this place was for me way more succesful to go north than the one inside the ring. There is a bus going very close to here so it is accessible.

Lots of traffic, and a good spot for people to pull over. Stand before the side street entrance

This seemed like the most practical place to hitch (directly on the motorway but with a big hardshoulder for cars to stop, and due to the border chaos it was fairly slow traffic.) Demoralising as lot of cars where taking the exit just before this though. Still, perseverance. Tons of trucks rejected me, but eventually got offered a ride to Skopje, allowing me to reach Ljubljana. The driver spoke English and was super cool. 60 mins for a super fast ride in a BMW is pretty damn good.

Bon emplacement avant l'autoroute, les personnes peuvent s'arrêter sur le côté et ne vont pas vite.

We (2 guys) were standing here with a sign saying Vransko and small underneath to MB and got a ride to Vransko immediately.

We were two guys heading to Ljubljana, sitting with a Ljubljana/Villach sign and thumb(s) out at the exit on easter sunday. After approx. 1h a couple from Ljubljana took as all the way to Ljubljana city centre.

Some guy stopped the minute I put my thumb up but wasn't in my direction. Had a sign for Austria. A woman stopped 18 min later and took me to spittal

Not so good place, but a man recommended us this spot (he saw many people hitchhiking here) so we (2) tried and get a car after 10 minutes to Slovenian-Italian gas station on boarder.

Not so many cars, but high possibility they go to Ljubljana or that direction. We wrote a sign “LJ”. Be careful, in Slovenia the license plates are not always as they are. Nice and helpful people around.

Great spot, we have the sign and got the ride all the way to Maribor. There is good place to stop and also shopping center is near.
