It's one of Copenhagen's official hitchhiking spots ("Blafferstoppested"). It's surely a great place for cars to stop, only problem — there is almost no traffic. So gave up and walked down to the big road, at the petrol-station just after the next crossing is enough space for people to pull in.

Not a very good spot. Maybe safer here: 55.66819° N, 12.57165° E ( there is a shoulder were cars can pull over safely).―Umbilical7052

It's quite good locking and cars can easily pull over but I gave up for the more bussy spots down the road―Umbilical7052

Good place. Stood outside the entrance to the shop because it was raning. Otherwise, I would recommend standing closer to the exit of the service area to have less of a 'facer'-vibe.―Joe

maybe not best to get to this spot too late because some of the people i talked to stopped here to sleep. but i successfully got a ride to copenhagen city center!―teef

totally doable still!! i stood after the roundabout next to some cement thing before the cars drive in to their respective lanes for the ferry. there were not many people driving in when i was there. i’m not sure if the truck drivers are allowed to add passengers easily but right as i was going to go ask i got a ride from a van!―teef

Stood at the exit from the service area. Got a ride from there to Kolding (sign said Fredericia but I was going South so no problem). Cars are driving slow and there is good space to stop.―Joe

Pretty good. A little fewer cars than usual this Monday morning than there usually are. But ended up getting a ride out to Karlslunde Vest.―Joe

I don't like this spot. Never managed to get a ride from here. Both times I tried, I ended up going to the Q8 gas station further down the road and found a ride there.―Joe

I stood with a sign saying Fredericia a little before the exit from the gas station area. Took a surprisingly long time. Usually the spot is better. Maybe it was because most people driving to Jylland leaves in the morning and I was there at 14:40.―Joe

I was standing here with sign in hand but didn't get a ride for 2 h which is odd because the place is usually good. At the end I went down to the exit from the service area so I wasn't so much in people's face. There I got a ride after 40 min.―Joe

A lot of local drivers. Hard to get a long ride but good spot to get to Karlslunde highway gas station, where it's easier to get a long ride.―Joe

I did the mistake of hitchiking in the rain.. All my stuff soaking wet, while I'm also ill and out of money! Not a good day, but the spot is good for hitchiking :D―Jarnohitchikes

As described it is a Great Spot for going to Kopenhagen. Stand exactly here with a sign and Show the appraching Cars from Sondre Ringgade on the Right and also the cars leaving the Gas station on the left. Got a Ride to Rodovre Train Station in about 10-15 min―JamonWithRamon

Perfect spot for getting farther South on the Continent. LOTS of European long-distance traffic. You can stand at the exit onto the highway, but I would recommend asking around. We quickly found a ride with a Swede going all the way to Belgium, who dropped us off in Hamburg.―Kreft

Good place for catching a ride to Karlslunde (a great rest stop for those heading farther South towards Germany). There’s a lot of space to stop and you’re clearly visible.―Kreft

Great place for getting across the bridge to Denmark. Lots of Danish, German and Dutch cars. We asked around at the gas station and were quickly offered a ride to Copenhagen by a Czech couple.―Anonymous

I would just aim for Copenhagen; the traffic at this gas station going further north is pretty low. If you need to sleep here, there is an overpass, where it feels pretty safe. I was here early, and the traffic was low, but maybe you can find a better car from here.―martih
