What hitchhikers said along this route

“we waited there for ten minutes and than got a ride to vienna. you can stand at the end of the gas station where is long empty line for cars leaving gas station and ending with a bus stop. so there is enough place also for the cars passing gas station to stop for you. another option to get there (exept the tram "2") is to take a train from brno to "modřice" which is faster than tram, but than you ”

“I have waited for three hours and I habe just seen one car to Vienna and one to Bratislava. One of them want friendly and other one.was full. All the other cars were going to in Czech rep. So it isnt good place to go to another country.”

“1h50' to find a driver heading south to Mikulov. My rating for this tankstelle cannot be anything else but "bad".”

“I was lucky because I got a ride to Vienna in 5 minutes. A lot of people who stop here in summer are going to Croatia and they have to go past Vienna on their way.”

“On Monday at 15:00 two guys waited here about 30 mins. We hitchhiked on the road after the gas station, so in this way we could catch a car as from the gas station as from the road, and still feel safe. In the end a guy from the road stopped and took us to Mikulov.”

“Place isn't perfect but there are no better spots (I think). Tram 2 will take you to this spot (get off at Tyrsova). Stand at the beginning or in the middle of the petrol station (next to the railing) and show your sign to all the cars that are on the road. Wien/Vienna works best because most Czech cars are locals. Took me about 1,5 hour but then I got a ride straight to Vienna.”

“It is not the good place indeed. But there is no better place in direction to Vienna. After 4 hours we were lucky to catch some guy going home to Vienna from Prague.”
