It was raining and already dark so I just stayed on the station and ask drivers. One guy took me straight to Villach. I saw a lot of cars with SLO plates. In good weather and daylight probably it's better to stand on the exit from the parking, there is a lot of truck drivers who are taking a break on these parkings.―Anonymous

Was a little bit tricky in the rain. You can ask people on station, but there is also a lot of cars going around from McDonald's and parking directly to the exit. Due to bad weather some lady offered me a ride to next Raststation.―Anonymous

The gas stations were frequently visited but most people went to Berchtesgarden or Salzburg but we wanted to go to St Johann.―Anonymous

I wasn't even standing in position with my sign yet, when a guy walked up to me and offered me a ride with his group way beyond Salzburg.―Goassmass

Most cars are full to the brim, got a ride south though, really helpful people―Anonymous

Nobody was taking us even if they went in the same direction to Villach, since every car was packed with families going on vacation to Croatia, no space for hitchhikers. Hostile spot―Anonymous

Did some local hitchhiking in the area (Flachau, Wagrain, Sankt Johann, Bischofshofen... ) worked fine!―Anonymous

Crossroads dir. Villach. The best place is up the hill, with a place to pull over.―Anonymous

My greatest hitch-hiking experience occurred here. Dropped off at the shell garage by an ambulance, and about an hour later hitched a ride in a car that was strapped onto the back of a Slovenian lorry and taken all the way to Villach.―Anonymous

Waited 90 minutes with intention going south (had signs "Süd" and "Graz") the guy who took me let me on a nice spot on the highway. If i hitchhiked again I'd maybe choose a different spot but it's not terrible.―jkczech

Great spot to get to Salzburg. After about 10min with a sign (Salz'B), I was picked up in a fancy car owned by a mine manager, a real character with some wild stories. Crossing the road to this spot is fun, there is an abandon pedestrian tunnel you can go through if you're brave!―Anonymous

A lot of cars, but mostly rich people or locals, still a very nice guy with two small children took me―Anonymous

Easy for cars to pull over, but not a lot of traffic.―Anonymous

I got a truck driver to Graz! After waiting 30 minutes, mainly with sign to Villach (i wasn't decided where to go) but I also had a Graz and Süd sign... Most cars went to Salzburg i feel like or closer than Villach, and didn't want to take... pretty good spot―jkczech
