Good spot, to get out of Salzburg, I tried at the highway first but most cars were full. Here it’s more local cars that don‘t go as far but have space.

Fine spot, lots of cars although many of them full. Best to hold a sign - tried without it for over an hour and no one stopped. After we made a sign "nach Villach" a nice guy took us in a few minutes to Radstadt.

Low traffic and also very few cars going south (mayby also because it was already later in the day), probably fine if youre going west. Had to ask around to get a short ride past the highway crossing. At least we were entertained by rats running around the parking lot :D.

If u want to Go to Vienna, don't. Almost everyone goes to the south or their Cars are completely filled. After 2 hours three other hitchhikers joined me and we asked Split Up and asked around. I was able to get the First Ride bc the guy had only one place left.

Not a particularly good spot for a car to stop

Technically really good spot cause a lot of cars come and go for a toilet break. Lots of families tho with full cars. Asked around for an hour until a sweet lady took us all the way to near bled and even stayed with us at the same camping which is quite outside the city! :D
You have to take a Bus towards Glanegg, walk 15 minutes, break in through the fence or climb (😅) and you are there.

On the way to Salzburg, I was super lucky. The first car driver picked me up, and there were many truck drivers at that spot.

Good Spot, asked for a Ride a the parking Spot. If u don‘t find a Ride u can sleep with a hammock in the woods behind the gas station.

This spot isn't really best because of the nearby highway, so you can only stop cars coming from the gas station. Still, it's probably the best spot you can choose in the area. We wanted to head down toward Vienna/Graz, but an older French couple stopped on their way to Salzburg.

Although this spot seems hard to get to at first (you have to take a bus, walk and then jump a fence), it is worth it. There was a lot of truckers resting, asked two croatian guys where they were going and they took me right to the slovenia-croatia border.

Most people are driving towards Salzburg, we got a ride to Raststätte Golling after approx. 2,5 h waiting at the traffic light (so cars can stop behind us at the junction) with thumb out an a sign (A10/Villach/Ljubljana) on Easter Sunday.

Not much traffic on a Tuesday morning, waited 30min before getting picked up by a truck driver. Try to stand a little further where the lanes merge.
