Not much traffic on a Tuesday morning, waited 30min before getting picked up by a truck driver. Try to stand a little further where the lanes merge.―Anonymous

We got here on Friday evening at 18:30. There were not so many cars but most people were very nice and either didn’t have the space or went somewhere else. We waited until 22:30 and then stayed the night at the entrance of the hotel on the other side. When we got back in the morning around 6, Not even 2 minutes after getting there, a nice lady in a van picked us up from the highway. So the earlier you get there the better your chances are.―Arenwithane

You definitely got to approach people, we stood at an intersection and got some reactions but no one stopped. The third person we asked took us close to Salzburg. It was a lovely ride.―Anonymous

At this moment gas station is under rebuilding and the place is almost dead. Only few cars stopped and it can be challenging to get something. I got extremely lucky with the driver, who used every possible stop on the highway to smoke a cigarette. Took me to Salzburg. When gas station will be finished and open it should be good.―Anonymous

Got lucky, this is a bad and dangerous spot. Driver dropped us here, because of roadworks on the roundabout next to the ramp. Next driver took us in, because he thought it was too stupid to stand there.―jakabolya007

Most cars have no room because they are visiting their family in the balkans and people who go to Italy don’t take you. But if some one who drives to the balkans has space they are insanely kind.―Anonymous

Good spot! Lots of traffic all day long. A good place to get towards Zell am See or Tirol. The gas station is a good option too for rainy days―Abuelo

Not a good spot. Thousands of cars pass, exhaust and noise but no one stopping. Go further towards the roundabout closer to the highway―Abuelo

Lots of trucks, easily accessible from town, on ur way there u can get water at the graveyard near. Think is a good option since west ramp of the town did not go well and east ramp seems to be under construction. nice forest to camp around 2 km to the north of the highway―Anonymous

Another attempt with a Villach/Slovenia sign, on a weekday, not many vans. First day waited 2 hours with no luck, second day was just about to give up when a Serbian guy (going to Serbia) took me. Be patient. There is a supermarket in the village 3 km north, u can use the tunnel to get to the other side of highway and there is a small road that goes to the village. When u get at Bundesstrasse, on your right, just where the forest ends and farm houses bedin, there is a very nice hunters tower where you can spend the nite and save time on pitching the tent―Anonymous
