It is a good spot as there is very good visibility and 2 cars stopped in 10mins of waiting, but they weren‘t heading to our direction.Bus to city center is 2€. So we took this instead.

Not the best spot for a Tuesday morning. There was no traffic from the service station or fast food, so we had to switch from a Belgrade sign to a +10kms and try at the roundabouts. After a while a guy stopped (in the middle of the road) and said he could get us down the road a bit. We paid for this toll and he dropped us at the first petrol station.If u can I would say avoid this spot.

Ultimately we decided to walk to another gas station 15 km from there (45.7500547N, 16.3010861E) by nearby roads (not along th highway) - fortunately a driver took us a part of the way―kamens64

Nice spot as cars are turning onto motorway from 3 directions and also can see you from a distance while they wait at the lights. Got a ride in 15 mins to Gradiska border with Serbia. I waited just past the crossing after vehicles have turned onto westbound highway, there is a bus layby behind me where my driver could pull in. Sign read BIH / Kutina―adambarnard

Not the ideal but probably the best to go out of Zagreb. I took bus 281 but you can also take bus 276. A car stopped after 20mn but they were going north. Got a ride to Slavonski Brod after an hour.
