Got the first car that turned into our direction. It’s turn and there is enough gravel/grass space on the right for cars to stop

Not many cars, driving fast but they can see you soon enough to slow down. Space before and after the spot for cars to stop. Cars coming out of the Ekkodalvej have time to see you

Got a ride directly to the Ekkodal. There isn’t a specific place for people to stop, but there is a parking lot a bit before, and it’s before a turn and after a speed bump so they will slow down

I waited at the ramp for 2 hours and decided to get something to eat. I asked people in the restaurant, and got a lift quickly. In general I think it’s a good idea to ask the Swedes on gas stations, because they are not spontaneous enough to stop on the road, although they are very friendly. You will get lifts if you ask them so they have time to get to feel your vibe.

Great spot to catch traffic going north, which is where you wanna be at on this island. Maybe check to see when cars arrive from ferry to time it perfectly. Hitchhiking is by far the best option because the bus service sucks and is super expensive

Here you can hitchike onto the ferry to Bornholm. People pay per car not per person, so it does not cost them anything to bring you onto the ferry. It works best to ask the drivers, however keep an eye out for people working there as they sometimes have an issue with you not being registered on the ferry. Also keep in my the ferry leaves 12;30 at night.

Great place to hitchike the ferry to Ystad or Copenhagen. People pay per car not per person so you can quite easily catch a ride onto the ferry. I have never missed a ferry and have done it many times. Good luck 🤞
