Great spot for the Tampere direction. A lot of cars going from nearby gas station, a lot of space to stop and slow cars.―Anonymous

This spot was great for me, although I think I was just lucky. A car just across from the spot waved at me and got me to Jyväskylä.―Anonymous

Space for car to stop and some traffics, you need to go up a small hill to arrive there but really good stop for Jyvaskyla―Emilien

This spot's generally well known as Viinikka roundabout, or "Viinikan liikenneympyrä" in finnish, within walking distance from the city. Best spot to stand is on the bus stop south of the intersection.―Anonymous

A bit far from centrum, but if you end up to here, there is a good bus-stop where you can hitchhike from. And lights for cars. Directions: Jyväskylä and Lahti.―Anonymous

To Jyväskylä and Tampere. There is a bus-stop right after Shell gas-station. Very good point. "Ruutana-crossroads".―Anonymous

Near university of applied sciences (TAMK). To Lahti and Jyväskylä. There is a good bus-stop where you can hitchhike ("Kissanmaa"). You can walk here from city center. You can take a car going to wrong city, but remember to jump out before motorways. Using sign isn't necessary. Wating times: 5-40min.―Anonymous

To Jyväskylä.Take a buss from center and drop out at the stop of citymarket/prisma right after going over Jyväskylä-road. Then walk upperhill over the onramps. You can ask from driver or other passangers. After a road fence there is just enough space for cars to stop. It's not super good place, but gives me always a ride in half an hour.

Drivers have sometimes difficulties to stop here, cuz it comes just after huge cross road. I'm nowadays just walking 'till the next bus stop where visibility is much better.―Mikael

Been here two times trying to get to Turku. First time got a ride to Toijala after waiting for 15 minutes, next time to Forssa after waiting for 3 hours. I guess it's easier to get to Helsinki or Hämeenlinna from here.―Anonymous

Took me quite long to get a ride to Helsinki from here even though there were hundreds of cars passing the spot all the time. Too busy and little results, can't really recommend this place.I tried walking onwards down the road but there didn't seem to be any better spots nearby.

This is an OK spot and quite popular if you want to go to Helsinki. Waiting times can vary a lot! There also can be a lengthy line after festivals or other big happenings.―Anonymous

A good spot with a lot of car and a bus station, we were 2 waiting with a "Jyväskylä" sign, no car stopped. It was monday at 8am so it might be the reason―Paul FR
